Shalom and Thank You
Dear members of the TBA community, Chuck, Leo and I want to thank you for such a warm welcome at services on Friday evening. It was nice to see familiar faces and to meet many new people. Shabbat is a celebration of creation and an opportunity to contemplate the beauty of the world in which we live. On Friday evening we sang and recited liturgy about the wonders of nature as we looked out across the water and watched the sun set. At certain points, children rose to lead and to sing. Marcy and Linda led a wonderful service. It was a true celebration of Shabbat, nature, and community. We felt right at home. We are still in Hamden, CT through August. We look forward to moving up there soon, and to fully joining the community. Please note that my new email address is rabbi.adler@tbabeverly.org. L’Shalom, Rabbi Alison Adler
Rabbi Adler’s contract approved by the congregation
It is with great pleasure that I report that at the congregational meeting held on Sunday July 24, 2011, the contract for Rabbi Alison Adler’s employment as TBA’s Rabbi was overwhelmingly approved. While her official start date is September 1, she has already been to TBA for last week’s Shabbat by the Sea service and will continue to come for meetings and other events as the summer concludes and as her schedule allows. We are delighted that Rabbi Adler and her family will be joining our temple family.
