Discussion 2: Gonzo Judaism: The Real Story of Hanukkah
Date: Monday, December 12
Location: Temple B’nai Abraham, Beverly
Requirements: Grades 8-12
Come and explore the “real” story of Hanukkah, through fiery debate, a discussion of the Maccabean revolt and a re-creation of the first ever Hanukkah celebration. The evening begins with a discussion and exploration of what if anything is “too much” secular life. Once the debate wraps up, teens will “win” admittance into our first-of-its-kind Hannukah celebration complete with giant jenga, blow-up twister, dinner, music and more.
This exciting new collaboration among temples and agencies on the North Shore offers four inspiring and engaging sessions for teens in our community. Each session covers a different topic with a fresh and experiential approach to Jewish education.
