Temple B’nai Abraham, its employees, and the volunteers that maintain and operate Our Sites (We) reserve the right to modify its privacy policy from time to time.

Information Collection and Use

We believe that personally identifying information, such as your name, postal and e-mail address or telephone number, is private and confidential. You can have general access to Our Sites without providing any personally identifying information.

Our Sites will collect personally identifying information from you only when you voluntarily submit it, such as when you register for access, author a post, make a comment, request information, place an order, sign up for a discussion group or e-newsletter, or register for an event.

On certain parts of Our Sites (mainly registration forms, order forms, payment forms, post authoring forms, and comment forms), users are required to give contact information (such as their names and e-mail addresses) and unique identifiers (such as passwords, account numbers or congregational information). This information is used to identify the author of content, update congregational databases, provide users information they request, reserve space for event participants, and other purposes related to the ongoing operations and activities of the congregation.

The information may also be used to contact you when We feel it is necessary. Unique identifiers (such as account numbers and passwords) are collected for use as account numbers in our record system. Congregational or account information submitted may be used to verify and protect users’ identity when they are conducting online transactions or other actions through Our Sites. We may use contact information to distribute news We deem of general interest and/or benefit to congregants and/or the community-at-large.

Information in Temple B’nai Abraham’s Databases

Temple B’nai Abraham maintains databases containing information related to the current, past and prospective members of the congregation, the users of Our Sites. These databases may also include information about supporters, contributors, and other entities.  In cases where the other entities are businesses or non-profit organizations, the databases may contain information regarding individuals employed by or working with the entity.

These databases, and the information contained within them, are used for communicating with individuals and organizations about congregant and congregational events, business and activities.  Use of this information is governed by the policies outlined below.

Release of Information to Third Parties

Temple B’nai Abraham does not release your personally identifying information to third parties unless you have given permission to do so, or unless such release is required to comply with the law or to protect the rights or safety of Temple B’nai Abraham or our website users.

Information that is collected from you will be used solely for the purpose for which it is given or to inform you of congregational events and resources. Should you wish to opt-out of receiving any e-mails from Temple B’nai Abraham or its affiliates please go to www.tbabeverly.org or contact the Temple B’nai Abraham office directly(see below).

Information that is collected will not be sold, shared, or rented to any outside company or organization without advance prior notification.   Such notification will include the option for any individual opt-out of the disclosure.  Notification may include any combination of a post to the web site and an e-mail to registered users using the then current contact information.

Using and Providing Material on Our Sites

Some of the primary reasons you and other people use Our Sites is to share material, including content and opinion, with others. Examples include when you write a post, upload a photo, link to a video, share a link, create an event, make a comment, or send someone a message. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to any material you provide.  You are responsible to ensure that any material you provide does not violate the privacy or security of a third-party person or organization. You are responsible for any consequences that result from your sharing material or your opinion.

All content provided by Temple B’nai Abraham employees, officers, board members, committee members, or related to any Temple B’nai Abraham activity, business, event, or program  (with the exclusion of material attributed to or hyperlinked to external sites) is the property of Temple B’nai Abraham and may not be reproduced in whole or in part without the written permission of Temple B’nai Abraham. All content provided by you that does not meet the above description remains your property. However you acknowledge  that by providing the content to Our Sites, you are granting to Us a perpetual, irrevocable, and unconditional right to use, attribute, create derivative works from, and distribute the content.  Please send requests for permission to use this content to office@tbabeverly.org or directly to the owner of the content.

Links to Other Sites

Our Sites covered by this policy contains contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of other such websites and We do not assume responsibility for the content of the material on other sites.

Online Forms

Our Sites use forms to collect information about congregants and other individuals. We collect visitors’ contact information (e.g., their name, phone number, e-mail addresses, congregation, position held in congregation), unique identifiers (account numbers, passwords), and financial information (account or credit card numbers). Contact information from forms is used to provide services and information to congregants and the community at-large.  The contact information is also used to get in touch with the individuals when We deem it necessary. You may opt-out of receiving future e-mailings (see the E-Mail Newsletter Opt-Out, Information Corrections and Updates section below).

Financial information that is collected is used to bill for donations, products and services. Unique identifiers (such as account numbers or passwords) are collected from website visitors for use as account numbers in our record system. Information that is collected on online order forms becomes the property of Temple B’nai Abraham.

Temple B’nai Abraham does not sell, market or distribute this information and will not use it for purposes other than the reasons disclosed to the user at the time of collection and as indicated in this privacy policy.

Online Surveys

Our Sites may use online surveys to ask visitors for contact information (such as e-mail addresses and other information). We may use your contact information collected from a survey to e-mail you or someone else information about our organization. Whenever We deem it necessary contact information may also be used to send e-mail for other specific purposes directly related to the ongoing operations and activities of the congregation.  You may opt-out of receiving broadcast e-mail messages by editing their preferences on www.tbabeverly.org.

Information that is collected from you online in surveys becomes the property of Temple B’nai Abraham. Temple B’nai Abraham does not sell, market or distribute this information and will not use it for purposes other than indicated in this privacy policy.

Our Sites Are Public Forums

Our Sites are intended to inform both congregants and the general community about events, activities, history, issues, and topics of interest related to our operations, congregation and congregants.  Our Sites exist to encourage public and open discussion among members of the congregation and the community-at-large.  These discussions are a free service to enable individuals to share comments about a wide variety of topics.

We ask that participants refrain from including profanity, obscenities, hateful, and/or defamatory language. Temple B’nai Abraham does not review items before they are posted and reserves the right to remove any information posted.

We may make the posts and comments available to the general public, registered users, congregants, or another specific group of users. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE AWARE THAT ANY INFORMATION THAT IS DISCLOSED ON OUR SITES MAY BE VIEWABLE BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EXERCISING CAUTION WHEN DECIDING TO DISCLOSE INFORMATION OR OPINIONS. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS TEMPLE B’NAI ABRAHAM, ITS OFFICERS, BOARD MEMBERS, VOLUNTEERS AND CONGREGANTS FOR YOUR USE OF OUR SITES AND FOR ANY INFORMATION YOU DISCLOSE OR SHARE USING OUR SITES.

We reserve the right to deny access to anyone who knowingly or unknowingly violates the policies within this document, or any other policies of Temple B’nai Abraham.

Security

Our Sites have security measures in place to reduce the risk of loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.  Our web sites use servers and services furnished by third party providers. Among the third parties providing services and servers to Us are GoDaddy (www.godaddy.com), Google (www.google.com), Dreamhost(www.dreamhost.com), Verizon (www.verizon.com) and Paypal (www.paypal.com).  Data transmitted to, from, or stored on these sites and services is protected and subject to the privacy policies of the applicable third party provider.

You acknowledge that you are aware that We do not have control over the the transfer of personal and financial information over the Internet to these services and servers.  Therefore, information transferred by you to Our Sites sites is done at the your discretion.

Individuals and organizations that provide information to be published on Temple B’nai Abraham Web Sites are required to abide by this privacy policy. Significant violations of this privacy policy may result in the revoking of access to the Web Sites
